Electronic Point Of Sale

Tengo Media offer the full range of EPOS software and equipment, from a single retail POS (Point Of Sale), though to multi-outlet companies with several checkout's and a stock management system. Our POS software is called tengoPOS, and is currently available in 4 different variations - Retail, Trade, Hospitality, and Venue.

TengoPOS Retail and Trade are aimed at outlets where the bulk of the products sold are barcoded. Non-barcoded products can be identified using a full-text search of the name, description or category of the item, and a small section of programmable buttons can return single products or groups of products to select from. The Retail version calculates totals inclusive of VAT, the Trade version calculates totals exclusive of VAT for Trade Counters or similar environments where the bulk of transactions are business to business.

TengoPOS Hospitality is designed for Pubs, Clubs, Restaurants, Cafe's and other locations where the bulk of products offered are not barcoded. The majority of the screen is taken up with an area of tabbed buttons and pages, so that a large number of products can be assigned to buttons on multiple, easy to navigate screens.

TengoPOS Venue has been specifically designed for the point-of-entry at visitor attractions. It focuses on speedy transactions to keep queue times to a minimum, along with easily accessible product buttons for sundries sold at the point of sale.

TengoPOS Venue also has a specific Gift-Aid function for registered charities - ask your customers simply for a post-code and name at the entry point and the full address details are captured and submitted to HMRC. Using the software vastly increases the number of people from which you can claim the tax back, and is currently being used by the National Trust. The investment in the system will quickly be recovered due to the extra revenue generated.

All versions of tengoPOS are incredibly simple to use, and transactions are completed with the minimum of fuss. There are no comlplicated sub-total screens or pop-ups, the bulk of transactions can be completed in a single click once the product list has been compiled.
