Froogle Feed Creation
Google Base, previously known as Froogle, is a free service that allows owners of E-Commerce shopping websites to index a list of their products, descriptions and prices on Google. It is a very powerful tool that gives searchers online a quick comparison of different merchants who offer the product they are looking for.
Many leading shopping cart packages, such as our own tengoCART, have an inbuilt feature that generates a Froogle feed automatically that you can submit to Google. However, many shopping sites such as those that are integrated with third party suppliers do not give you access to the back-end database, meaning you can't generate a Google Base feed.
Tengo Media have developed software that will spider (search) your E-commerce site, and generate a database of the products by intelligently scanning for common attributes across the product information pages. This will then generate a feed file that can be submitted to Froogle and other shopping comparison sites, which can dramatically increase sales on your website.
